Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) are facilities where procedures can be safely performed without a hospital stay. They provide a cost-effective and convenient environment that is less stressful than the large hospital environment.
Should I call the surgery center before my procedure for my arrival time?+
A member of our staff will call you 24-48 hours before your procedure. Please note, because of rapidly changing schedules, we purposefully do not give you your time earlier. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and do apologize for this.
What should I do if I need to cancel my procedure?+
Please call the Buffalo Surgery Center as soon as possible! For orthopaedic procedures call (716) 250-6520. For gastroenterology & colorectal procedures call (716) 250-9190. Our friendly staff will direct you in what you need to do next. Our business hours are Monday-Friday 7am to 4pm. Please contact your physician’s office directly to reschedule
Are there other health care professionals that are not employed by Buffalo Surgery Center that may provide care to me during my procedure?+
Yes. Buffalo Surgery Center contracts with external professionals to provide certain services during your visit. Services provided by these providers are separate from your visit, and you may possibly receive a separate bill for their services. You may wish to contact the group office(s) to confirm participation with your insurance. Contact information for these groups is provided below:

Can you bill me for any copays, co-insurances or deductible?+
Unfortunately no. Full payment is expected on the day of your procedure. We do accept the following forms of payment: Cash, Check and Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express) We do not accept Care Credit.
Can I get dropped off for my procedure then picked up later?+
No. For patient safety, we require that a responsible adult remains on the Buffalo Surgery Center campus at all times. Your driver will receive text updates throughout your procedure and will be texted or called when it is time to pick up the patient.
Caregivers of endoscopy patients are encouraged to wait in their vehicles due to high volume in our waiting room.
