COVID-19 Update

Buffalo Surgery Center continually monitors the COVID-19 Pandemic in WNY and adheres to guidance from the NYS Department of Health, the Erie County Health Department and the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

We are now fully open and keeping our patients, your family, friends and loved ones, as well as our staff, safe during this difficult time is our first priority.

We have been proactive in implementing many actions to keep our patients and staff safe; pre-screening patient phone calls are conducted and all patients are required to have a COVID-19 test, with a Negative result, prior to any surgery or procedure.

Patients, and all staff, upon entering our Center, have temperature and symptom screening. Masking and Social Distancing are also required within the facility wherever possible. Our waiting area is restricted to patients only; those accompanying a patient may wait in their vehicles. Details regarding waiting will be conveyed to our patients during the pre-surgical phone call. Most communications will be handled via cell phone calls from our Providers and Nursing staff. Special arrangements will be made for Pediatric and patients with special requirements. If you have any immediate concerns about your upcoming procedure, please contact your physician’s office directly.

Our safety protocols are designed keep our patients and staff safe while decreasing the risk of exposure.

We’ll keep you updated as things change. Until then, stay safe!
